Budva, the Pearl of Montenegro

Montenegro, the land of mountains and sea, long beaches, amazing views, breathtaking nature and old architecture. On the cost there are few little cities with long beaches and lovely hotels, but among them the most beautiful is Budva. This seaside city is combination of the old and new, luxurious and romantic, a place that offer its visitor an unforgettable experience.

Budva is the center of tourism in Montenegro and is well known for its sandy beaches, rich and crazy nightlife and wonderful buildings in the style of Mediterranean architecture. Combined with the long promenade and charming restaurants serving traditional meals, these place is like s small paradise that will spoil you with beauty and pleasures.

It is interesting to know that Budva is called “Montenegrin Miami”, because it is the most crowded and most popular tourist resort in Montenegro, with beaches and vibrant nightlife, often visited by the Balkan jet-set. In the past few years this Montenegrin city is attractive for Russians, but also, tourists from all over the world.

If you choose Budva as a destination for your summer vacation you won’t regret. It has it all, regardless if you are coming with your family, friends or your love. Long and romantic walk on the sunset, sailing or visiting the old city, playing on the beach with the kids or exploring all its beauty.

The first thing about this city is the beach. The clear water of the Adriatic Sea and the charming harbor with luxurious yachts. You can rent an umbrella and sunbeds or just relax in the shade of the palm trees. On the shore there are around 35 beaches, mostly rock and a little sand, some big, some small, all amazing and clean, waiting to pleasure you.

After day at the beach treat yourself with traditional lunch, sea food and local wine. On the promenade you can find a lot of restaurants, all serving fresh local food and have amazing view of the sea. So, have lunch or dinner while you can smell the sea and feel the breeze.

A vacation in Budva would be incomplete if you don’t visit the old town. This amazing part of Budva, also known as “the ancient town of Cadmus and Harmonia” dates approximately 1500 years old with some of the old churches are dating back to the 7th century. Most of the main current old city is about 500 years old. Most of the architecture in this old city has Venetian origin. Doors, windows, balconies and many other small but noticeable things include Roman style of the Venetian Republic, which make it so amazing and breathtaking.

Visit the fortress and just admire the view, the sea will spread in front of you. If you can be there for the sunset that will be the most amazing experience that you can have. So magical and inspirational.

Budva is also known for its fun and rich night life, lot of clubs, bars and beach parties where you can dance all night long.

As for the kids, there a big fair in the center of the city, with fun rides, games and lots of sweet treats.
